Cactus Hotel The largest, most ornate and the most expensive hotel built in the city. The hotel, with its 14 stories, lavish decorations and elegant crystal ballroom, has been revitalized as the city's cultural center. Fort Concho National Historic Landmark Founded as a frontier outpost to protect early West Texas settlers, this National Historic Landmark features 22 authentically restored buildings that are reminiscent of the frontier days of the mid-1800s. A museum and visitor center are also on site that features an extensive collection of artifacts from the Indian Wars period. Living history demonstrations are held here periodically throughout the year.

International Water Lily Garden Civic League Park Located on West Beauregard and Park streets: The water lily garden exhibits water lilies from around the world. Day and night blooming varieties provide breathtaking beauty mid-May through October with the primary month in August. The best viewing time is 10:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. Also exhibited are roses, seasonal annuals, perennials and bulbous plants.

Lake Nasworthy Located in the southwest areas of San Angelo. They offer all types of water recreation and excellent fishing opportunities.

Kendall Art Gallery Kendall Art Gallery, located in the heart of downtown San Angelo, is the home of the San Angelo Art Club. The building was initially built in 1949. A variety of shows primarily by local artists are presented throughout the year. The gallery is open on Wednesday from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m., Saturday from 1 to 4 p.m. and Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m.
Old Chicken Farm Art Center Very unique art venue that was founded in 1971 and is now home to 22 art studios and galleries, a large pottery shop, and a foundry. The galleries present a wide spectrum of fine range ranging from traditional to contemporary. A restaurant that specializes in country French and Southwest cuisine is also on site.
Railway Museum of San Angelo Located in a the restored historic Orient-Santa Fe Depot, this museum features changing railroad displays including artifacts and memorabilia, as well as a permanent model train layout that depicts San Angelo in 1928. A caboose is also on permanent display.
San Angelo Children's Art Museum Wonderful children's museum that provides a wide array of hands-on experiences and exhibits for children that encourage creative problem solving and fun educational learning skills. You will find exhibits on science, arts and crafts, history, and teaching at this museum.
San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts Overlooking the Concho River, this 30,000 square foot museum resembles a covered wagon and features a wide range of varied and changing exhibits of many different media and from many different eras.
San Angelo Nature Center Nestled alongside the shore of Lake Nasworthy, this nature center is filled with native plant gardens and a variety of indigenous flora and fauna. A natural science and natural history museum is also on site. Educational programs are available.
Angelo State Planetarium The fourth largest university planetarium in the nation, this planetarium offers a wide variety of programs that include three-dimensional views of the universe. Planetarium shows are at 8:00 p.m. on Thursdays and at 2:00 p.m. on Saturdays.

San Angelo State University Angelo State University is a regional comprehensive coeducational institution of higher learning offering programs in the liberal and fine arts, sciences, education for the health professions, teacher education, and business administration, as well as courses of study designed to meet entrance requirements for various professional schools.
Goodfellow Air Force Base Home to the 17th Training Wing, Goodfellow Air Force Base is a United States Air Force training installation subordinate to Air Education & Training Command (AETC). Goodfellow's chief mission is to develop and deliver training in the cryptologic and general intelligence career fields for Air Force, Army, Navy and Marine Corps personnel plus students from certain Allied countries and national agencies.
